In the SCA folks with some knowledge of something of interest to others will share that knowledge through a class.  Classes are offered at Universities conducted as an SCA event in which there are only classes and no other activities typical of an SCA event.  Classes can also be conducted as part of an event.  And some classes are taught ad hoc.  What I have listed here are classes that I've taught in a formal setting.  That would be a University or scheduled at an event.  This page does not load well on mobile devices.  Better viewed on lap top or desk top computer.

The steps involved in making arrows for SCA target archery.  Students puchased materials ahead of time and made arrows in the class.  Some students just wanted to go through the process so I provided materials for them to  make one arrow.  8 students in attendance with 2 in and out types (there was an A&S at the site as well)

Dicussed rope types and how rope is made.  Showed two ways to secure a coil of rope.  Knotts displayed - bowline, clove hitch, half hitch, double half hitch, prusuk, sheepshank, square knot, sheet bend, truckers hitch.  Finished with Turks head single pass.

Techniques for speed shooting:  Getting the arrow on the string quickly, techniques for loading arrows, how to practice speed shooting.  Introduced each step then allowed students to fire a few arrows to try the technique.

Discussed string materials and relating to bow.  Made a Flemish string, mounted to bow and set nocking point.  Discussed string silencers and relationship of bow string to tuning a bow.
